Best Regards to All (みなに幸あれ), 2023 SHIMOTSU Yuta, 7/10 stars, a nursing student travels to her grandparents’ home in the countryside to experience a series of unfolding horrors. Elegiac portrayal of village life on top of which a horror story is built.

Best Wishes to All explores a disturbing idea that happiness is limited and often built upon the suffering of others, expanding its award-winning short into a full-length film. While the feature version introduces broader scope and darker context, it loses the intimate shock and psychological sharpness that made the original so effective.
