_New Life_ is a thrilling manhunt of a film with horror sequences that are seemingly inspired by the highpoints of the _Resident Evil_ and _The Last of Us_ franchises. The inclusion of ALS is mostly successful. The film ends up leaving you feeling like you know what director John Rosman was going for, but it doesn’t seem to totally click by the end of the film. Amidst the chaos of our intro, we've the shadow of doom presenting itself for us now. Not going to lie, the genuine decency of people when it counts is freaking inspiring, especially in these unsure days we live in. Finally getting flashbacks, I do want to know what got us here, but I'm feeling sad for the main character and her mental well-being.
