The film is a celebration of the inherent dramatism and queerness of Southeast Asia history, as well as a wonderful exploration of the trope of found family. The characters are hilarious, complex and so well-explored within a short runtime; at first glance, the titular character (as advertised) is a silly babygirl, and over time, we get to see the nuance in every interaction!
