Overview

The short animated film Alma, A Worldly Woman of Indomitable Spirit is based on the picture book by Huiqin Wang and Milana Dekleve Little Alma on the Great Road (2020). This time, painter and visual artist Huiqin Wang joined forces with animator and visual artist Andrej Kamnik. She created some new illustrations for the film, which is slightly different from the book, but shows the extraordinary character of the writer and world traveler Alma Karlin, especially the period she spent in Japan and China.
