Overview

13-year-old Fidan learns that she has earned the right to attend the country’s most prestigious high school. However, it is not easy for her to leave behind her father, who has disappeared under the shadow of tragic events, and her little brother, to move to the big city. Fidan finds herself at a crossroads, driven by the spirit of sacrifice so characteristic of the noble women of Anatolia. The decision she makes will shape her future. Should she go to the school her mother has dreamed of for her, one that promises to open the doors to a bright future? This is the story of one sapling among the millions of trees in a land where some of the world’s strongest women have lived and where, despite everything, miracles can still happen.
