Isolation is selfish

Overview

The story begins by introducing our main character, Dakota. Dakota is a high school senior who throughout the film struggles with a sense of distance from everyone in his life and that he has lost the childhood innocence he once had. He goes about life feeling that this isolation is everyone elses fault and that he needs better people in his life. He has a friend named Lee, they've been friends since childhood and did everything together but as of recently he could feel a riff in their friendship. All comes to a head one night walking home from school together. Lee lashes out at Dakota because Lee has been trying to be there for Dakota but he blames him and everyone else. Dakota has a deep realization and runs away. The movie ends with dakota looking out on an open field thinking about his grave mistake.
