KPIX-TV news footage from May 31 1966 featuring scenes from a press conference by civil right activist and organizer Stokely Carmichael, who talks about a police shooting (possibly that of Matthew 'Peanut' Johnson?), his being called a "Black Nationalist" by the media and the need for the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) to develop a base amongst the white community.
