Overview

The events begin in 1922 in the Volga region, where famine is raging. A mother donates the last piece of bread to her son, dreaming that he would stay alive and grow up brave and strong. There, in a fierce battle with the enemy, the hero shows unparalleled courage, performs a feat and dies.
