Overview
Orson Welles, taking a break from the filming of "Othello," is driving in the Irish countryside one night when he offers a ride to a man with car trouble. The man relays to Welles a strange tale of an encounter he had once before at the same isolated location.

With Orson Welles needing a break from filming his “Othello” in Ireland in 1951, he set off to drive to Dublin when he encountered a motorist stranded on the dark. Offering this somewhat reluctant traveller a lift, he (Michael Laurence) regales his rescuer with an intriguing story about one evening when he did some rescuing of his own. This involved two ladies whom he took to their home and accepted a few minutes of hospitality. Realising swiftly after departure that he’s left his cigarette case…
