This program showcases some of China's historical and cultural treasures beyond Beijing's usual-suspect tourist spots, including Shanghai, with its emerging role in global haute couture, and Qingdao, with its rich seafaring legacy. Other destinations include Qinhuangdao and its legendary connection to the Great Wall, Shenyang and its historic architecture, and Hong Kong with its dazzling mix of world cultures.
