Als Kind habe ich die Zeichentrickserie von Alvin und die Chipmunks geliebt um den Animations-/Realfilmmix habe ich nach den schlechten Erfahrungen mit ähnlichen Filmen biser einen Bogen gemacht. Zu Unrech! Natürlich ist Alvin und die Chipmunks kein Meisterwerk. Natürlich präsentiert der Film keine komplexe Story. Und dennoch hat der Film mir Spaß gemacht. Alvin and the Chipmunks is a nice, family friendly movie about finding a place and your family in life, development of care and empathy for each other and many of the usual US comedy tropes. While the movie in itself is nothing crazy special, I consider it to be quite cutely done.
