In 1975, the band from Bradford in the north of England became famous overnight with "If You Think You Know How To Love Me". A year later, Smokie made a guest appearance in the GDR. The concert in the sports hall of the Ernst Thälmann Secondary School in Sondershausen (Erfurt district) is a sensation in the GDR.
