Ryu Hye-rin
Biography
Ryu Hye‑rin, born on October 24, 1984 in Ulsan, is a South Korean actress and model. A graduate of Kyungsung University with a degree in Theatre and Film, she began her career on stage in 2009, debuting in the play The Time of the Slaughterhouse. She gained public attention with her appearance in the hit film Sunny (2011), where her brief but unforgettable role as the "insult battle girl" became one of the movie's standout comedic moments. From there, Ryu Hye‑rin steadily built a diverse filmography, taking on roles in independent films, commercial features, and a wide range of television dramas. On television, she has appeared in numerous series across genres. Her work spans melodrama—such as Valid Love and The Game: Towards Zero—to romantic comedy, including Radio Romance and the popular ensemble comedy Eulachacha Waikiki. She has also taken part in thrillers, fantasy dramas, and character‑driven stories. Ryu Hye‑rin has remained active in theatre throughout her career. Her work has earned her recognition in the theatre community, including newcomer awards at the Yeoljeon Theater Awards (2011) and the Seoul Theater Festival (2015).
