Manuel Santos Gelke

Biography

Manuel Santos (born February 10, 2005, in Berlin; born as Manuel Philipp Santos Gelke) is a German actor. Santos began acting at a young age. At the age of eleven, he signed with an acting agency and, following an audition, landed the lead role of Otto in the feature film *Benjamin Blümchen*. Filming took place in 2017. In 2018, he took on the lead role of Karl Vierstein in the film *TKKG*. This was followed by further appearances in television productions, including the hospital series *Nachtschwestern* and, in 2024, the first season of *Das Küstenrevier*. Alongside his acting career, Santos has also achieved success in science competitions. In 2018, he won first prize in the Technology category at *Jugend forscht* (Youth Researches) for a plant fertilizer dosing system for aquariums. Furthermore, he has excelled in mathematics competitions such as the Mathematics Olympiad, the *Känguru der Mathematik* (Kangaroo Math Competition), and the Pangea Mathematics Competition.
