Born on June 28th 1998 in Ho Chi Minh city (VIETNAM) Nguyễn Thiên Ân is a Vietnamese filmmaker working at the intersection of fiction and reality. A self-taught director with a background in music videos, commercials, and documentaries. His films offer a satirical lens on society, where drama stems from social paradoxes and challenges, engaging the audience with a humorous tone His latest short, The Dream is a Snail, supported by the ‘CJ Short Film Making Support Program in Vietnam’, world premieres in competition at the 79th Cannes Film Festival.
