Pedro Ferreira

Biography

Pedro Ferreira, born in 1988, is a multimedia artist, designer, researcher and teacher based in Berlin. He holds a PhD degree in fine arts with the specialisation of multimedia art from the University of Lisbon. He is interested to explore digital technologies from a DIY approach, including creative coding and media materiality, to understand the impacts of digital technologies in culture, society and environment. His works range from experimental music, sound art, generative art and audiovisual performance to experimental film, documentary, video art, net art and art games. He is the author of Audiovisual Disruption: Post-Digital Aesthetics in Contemporary Audiovisual Arts (2024).
