Biography
Joe Nanini was an American rock drummer and percussionist, most famous as a founding member of the new wave and post-punk band Wall of Voodoo during their 1980s heyday. Born Oliver Joseph Nanini in Japan to a military family, he became a prominent figure in the Los Angeles punk and new wave scenes. He was highly regarded for his unconventional, eccentric percussion style, which frequently integrated household objects like pots, pans, and kitchen utensils directly into his drum kit.
