Season 1 Review (currently on NF): Criminal thriller series in 8 episodes with a touch of dark comedy and drama about a man Jamie Dornan (of "60 Shades" trilogy) and Danielle Macdonald (as Probationary Constable Helen Chambers in one of the sweetests characters I've ever seen). The chemistry between the two in this series is amazing and cute, bringing some relief to the tense rhythm of the main story that have many bloody sequences and great wide shoots of the Outback. I was excited when I saw it was from the same folks that made _Fleabag_. But this one didn't really deliver. The whole of episode 5 makes the same mistake as many films / shows that represent someone tripping on drugs -- the trip lasts too long. And the standoff in the final episode felt pretty contrived, with a deus ex machina that was truly unsatisfying.
