Overview
When an officer with the Department of Homeland Security is murdered in broad daylight, LAPD detective Mark Meachum is recruited to a secret task force, alongside undercover agents from all branches of law enforcement, to investigate. I like Jensen Ackles, he has a pleasantly jokery, laid back screen presence, that's genuinely endearing. Its a shame therefore, to see him in a series as beige and boring, as "Countdown". This is your typical cliched and cringey crime thriller fare, that paints the US and its legal organisations, as "the good guys". Its cardboard cut out, black and white stuff, that's wholly unsophisticated and shallow. Perhaps US audiences of a certain demographic, might enjoy this? I certainly doubt it…
