Overview

It is election night. Linda Jakobsson, married for 30 years to the Social Democratic finance minister Gert Jakobsson, sits at home on the sofa watching the election drama unfold on TV. Linda hears the commentators talking about the Social Democrats' biggest defeat, and just a glimpse of her better half on TV is enough: she can see that he has now decided to crush Prime Minister Per Viksten and take over as party leader himself.
