Overview
Once a powerful lawyer, Billy McBride is now burned out and washed up, spending more time in a bar than a courtroom. This show hooked me right from the start as I knew we were in for a treat with Billy Bob Thornton in the lead. He doesn't disappoint as a down and out lawyer, taking on a huge corporation and his ex-lawyer firm, which he himself founded. I particularly enjoyed the courtroom scenes, the attention to detail and his relationships with his motley crew and adversaries. He really made the part of Billy his own, with a lot of grit, yet laconic determination. Series two, however, was way off the mark…

Season 1 was very good. The rest of the series is very weird and to be honest it felt gross. I recommend to my friends that they should watch only the first season.
