There are times I hate having my worst reservations, affirmed. Dune Prophecy has all the trappings of success. A great cast, mixing talented newcomers and experienced veteran actors, excellent production values, a well known sci fi saga "Dune" but for me, that's where the positives end. As far as I can see this series is far removed from the conceptualisations and story, as espoused in the novels and the films. I had pretty high expectation on this series. Hoped we would get a glimps on the AI-Wars and how Bene Gesserit, Mentat and Navigators came into play. We got a glimpse of the AI-Wars...like 30sec.....that's it. The Rest of the series evolves around some kind of boarding school / coming of age setup, wich looks cheap and brings no insight to anything in the Dune Universe. HBO simply tried to reporduce a copy of Game of Thrones but didn't want to spend the money to do it proper. Sometimes…
